Modern children's rooms are frequently overwhelmed by synthetic vinyl peel-and-stick decals, plasticized wallpapers, and off-gassing petroleum paints. In the sealed, air-conditioned environment of a Qatar residence, these non-porous surfaces trap moisture, degrade indoor air quality, and feel cold and lifeless to the touch.

KidsCasa revives authentic architectural surface craftsmanship. We work exclusively with breathable Italian slaked lime, Roman clays, acoustic French linen, and raw earth pigments. Whether sculpting fluted acoustic wainscoting that quietens bedroom reverberation or hand-brushing an ethereal woodland mural, we treat walls as poetic works of fine art that mature gracefully alongside your child.

Authentic Roman clay, Marmorino, and Venetian slaked lime plasters hand-troweled in three to five delicate layers. Diffuses harsh artificial light into a soft suede-like glow, regulates villa ambient humidity, and contains zero synthetic binders.

The Storybook Enchanted Forest

Client: The Al-Ghanim Family · Child: Daughter, Age 6 · Height: 3.8m Vaulted Villa Walls

The Brief: A 6-year-old girl in an West Bay Lagoon villa wanted an imaginative wonderland celebrating wildlife, birds, and forest trees. Her bedroom featured 3.8m vaulted ceilings that created cold acoustics and an intimidating scale.

The Challenge: Avoiding commercial wallpaper prints that would feel childish within two years or emit volatile organic compounds into the room's air. The parents also needed acoustic dampening to absorb room echo.

The Solution: We grounded the lower 1.2m of the walls with fluted white oak acoustic wainscoting (NRC 0.80) to silence reverberation. The upper 2.6m was prepared in soft Roman clay limewash, over which studio artist Elena Rostova painted an expansive misty forest mural with earth pigments, incorporating subtle fawns, perched barn owls, and olive branches.
